Achieving effective policy monitoring and evaluation through evidence supplied by the civil society

Project is dealing with the impact analysis of civil society organisations on monitoring and evaluation of policies in the EU focusing on research organisations, while at the same time experiences in Serbia in the involvement of civil society in the process of monitoring policies in public administration and social policy and employment sectors will be analysed. Involvement of civil society will be instigated through advocacy, awareness raising and capacity building of public administration and civil sector on ways to improve the quality of monitoring and evaluation processes. Main target groups are ministries in charge of public administration reform, social policy and employment and civil society organisations interested to take part in these processes.

Specific aims of the project are:

Ensuring effective involvement of civil society, particularly those organisations focusing on policy research, in policy monitoring and evaluation

Improve the awareness and understanding of policy makers, civil servants as well as CSOs about the benefits and specific ways/tools of involving the civil society in policy monitoring and evaluation

Foundation for the Advancement of Economics (FREN) and European Policy Centre are jointly implementing project activities.
