Making work pay - evidence from Serbia and Macedonia

Within the framework of the project ”Making work pay - the case of Serbia and Macedonia” funded by the Regional Research Promotion Program (RRPP) Western Balkans, on 26 and 27 October 2012 at the University American College in Skopje (UACS),  FREN's research fellows, Sasa Randjelovic and Marko Vladisavljevic, delivered a course on development of tax-benefit micro-simulation model based on EUROMOD platform (tax and benefit micro-simulation model for the European Union, for more information visit: https://www.iser.essex.ac.uk/euromod) . The training was aimed at presenting the features of the model, steps and tasks related to its development and options for its further use.  Based on this course, UACS colleagues are going to make the same model for FYR of Macedonia.

Beside University American College professors and research fellows, the course was attended by the analysts from the National Bank of Macedonia and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
